•Photography
•The Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, California: this organization is a spiritual descendent of both the f-64 Group (which included Ansel Adams and Edward Weston), and of the Friends of Photography, which Adams and others founded in Carmel. It has the following as its mission statement: i.e., Guided by regional traditions, the Center for Photographic Art promotes excellence in photography through exhibitions, communication, and education. The Center is an important resource for photographers not only in California, but in the rest of the United States as well. It is expanding and developing its programs, and has begun a new “creativity-centered” series of workshops, called PIE Labs (Photography + Ideas + Experience). CPA’s website address is photography.org.
•The ImageMakers of the Monterey Peninsula: was formed in April 1996 by a group of fine art photographers on the Monterey Peninsula who wanted to create a venue where they could exchange ideas about the rapidly evolving world of contemporary photography. They also wanted to review and discuss new work in progress by their fellow artists working in the field. From an initial group of six photographers, the ImageMakers has grown to an enthusiastic organization of over 50 members. The ImageMakers feel that the informal manner used to structure the organization maximizes the free exchange of ideas and provides inspiration and encouragement to a group of highly motivated photographers dedicated to the production of high quality fine art photographs. The goal of the ImageMakers is to ensure that photography, as a vital art form, will continue and thrive on the Monterey Peninsula. The ImageMakers website is at http://imagemakersofmonterey.org

•Symbols, Images and Words
•As is noted on the Welcome page to this website, we are pilgrims in this life, each on our own journey. This site shares some of what I see and reflect through my art as I travel along my path. The French word for pilgrim is pélerin. Thus my website has two names -- pilgrim-arts and arts-pelerin. (Why French at all? That’s another story, une autre histoire. (Restez à l’écoute!, stay tuned!))
